We produce new writing and dance theatre that starts in Fringe basements and ends up everywhere else. Five productions. Three continents. One very tired van.

Haar & Halo is an Edinburgh production company making new writing, dance theatre and things in between. We find stories in sixty-seat rooms at the Fringe and grow them carefully — to touring houses, to London transfers, to wherever they need to go next.
We’re serious about craft and unserious about everything else. Every show we produce is built to travel: tight, technically sharp, and small enough to fit in the van.

One caretaker, one lamp, forty-one years of ghosts. Our new solo show about the people theatres keep.

A comedy about grief, granites and one furious granny. Winner — Best New Play, Fringe 2025.

A fisherman's son swims home. Gig theatre with a live tide of sound, transferred after a sold-out Fringe.

Hamlet in ninety minutes, four actors and a skip full of sand. To be or not to be, but faster.

Five dancers wander off the map. Wordless, borderless dance theatre about getting gloriously lost.

Twenty-two nights in the round, with captioned and relaxed performances across the run.
